The company specializes in distinctive properties that integrate art and music to create an inspiring guest experience. KESSLER Collection Europe accomplishes its vision of operating high-end, boutique hotels through three methods. The company purchases land to design and construct new properties, it buys existing hotels with a focus on developing and enhancing them, and it also offers management services to manage properties of like standards owned by other individuals.
About the Founder With over 37 years in the hospitality industry, Richard C. Kessler founded The Kessler Enterprise, Inc. in 1984, developing a vision for themed hotels based on the belief that people want to be entertained, have fun and be comfortable when they stay at a hotel on business or vacation. Descended from a line of Salzburgers who immigrated to America in1731, Richard possesses strong ties to his Austrian heritage, which has influenced the operation and development of his hotel company. He served as president of the Georgia Salzburger Society for four years, an active family heritage society with over 3,000 members who are descendants of the immigrants.
An avid art collector and supporter of fine arts, Richard finds inspiration from music and art, which he attributes to his European heritage. Each of his unique hotels incorporates these elements in its design and décor to create an inspiring experience that each guest can take with him when he leaves. The properties go beyond the traditional hotel experience, adding a level of aesthetic value to each area of a guest's stay and incorporating regional history and style to complement the local area's culture and environment.
